10 Tips to Storytelling
I was gathering some story writing advice this weekend while preparing for my AP English Language and Composition exam and decided to compile a few of them together into a list! These are some useful tips that I've accumulated over the years from from my teachers, fellow students and some published authors.
It may seem a bit out of the blue but I thought that they would be worth sharing. I hope that you will find them as helpful as I do!
I thought that they might be handy in case you are planning to apply for art clubs or are writing character background stories.
10 Tips to Storytelling:
1. Embellishments with intention will take your story to the skies. Embellishments without intention will drown it.
2. Have a good idea? Write it down. You won’t get anywhere if that idea only stays in your head.
3. Have a jumble of ideas and thoughts? Write them down and cut them out. Assemble them like a jigsaw puzzle.
